The Diet Experts Have It All Wrong!

Look at the vast amount of information on diet, diet and exercise and it's easy to see why losing weight and staying away is a problem in this country. No expert tells us to do the work - and that's the fact.

It doesn't matter where you go to nutrition sites, diet sites, exercise sites, health forums, weight loss and management blogs or almost any other forum, discussions and solutions about weight loss aren't really about weight loss. They are about what is good for you, what is bad for you, how much you need to eat, when you need to eat, what kind of exercise you need to do, when you need to exercise, etc., etc.

I believe that what is missing in all forums is an honest discussion about whether what the experts are discussing is actually the issue. From my point of view, a little of what our experts say is really at the root of the challenge for weight loss and that - how we can control our eating habits.

Almost all of these forums are designed to show you how to eat as good, healthy food as you can ... without blowing like a balloon. Rarely do you see discussions about getting extra food out of your life. And I think there's a clear reason - fat is money.

Thousands of businesses, including this one, exist because people don't want to weigh so much. But telling people to lose weight by changing their way of life, over time, over time is just not glamorous and you can't afford it. And in our fast-paced world of "I want results now", most people can't afford to pay if they don't see the immediate results. There is no market in this country for "not eating too much" because our whole lifestyle is centered around it and the amount of money made in the food industry is staggering.

If you do not believe that our society revolves around food, ask yourself "When was the last time I went to any social event, sport or community where food and drinks were not offered." We are simply a nation that can do nothing without eating or drinking anything.

It's time for us to realize that the challenge we face in trying to lose weight is not because we lack the means to do it, we have no way to do it.
