How to Get Rid of Stubborn Belly Fat

The bottom belly is a natural fat reservoir and a very stubborn place for tone, so it can be quite challenging to get rid of low belly fat. Regular crunches and sit-ups are not enough to eliminate low belly fat. The key is to target the lower abdomen with a specific workout for muscle tone and eliminate fat. Proper training, coupled with a healthy diet and cardio routine, will help to control stubborn belly fat.

1

Modify your diet to include more vegetables and lean protein and less fat and sugar. Lean proteins help you build muscle and burn fat in your lower abdomen. Even if you only cut your fat and sugar in half, it will make a big difference in your fight against low belly fat.

2

Do at least half an hour of cardio three times a week. Walking, jogging, biking and dancing are great options. Doing cardio will help you lose extra layers of fat that keep your stomach muscles secret.

3

Work your lower back muscles to strengthen muscle walls and burn belly fat. Do some scissors after your cardio workout. Lie on your back with your hands under your back. Lift your feet about a foot off the ground. Contrast your lower extremities and move your feet with your movements: move your right foot to the left, then open your feet and move your left foot to the right. Be careful not to bend your knees. Do about 10 to 15 reps.

4

Do some reverse reps of crunches twice. Lie on your back with your hands behind your back as in Step 3. Raise your feet off the ground and bend your knees. With your knees bent, slowly lower your feet until they are three inches off the ground, and hold this position for a few seconds then return to the starting position. Do about 10 to 15 reps.

5

Complete your lower abdominal exercises with a set of Pilates 100. Lie on your back with your arms next to you. Lift your legs straight at a 45 degree angle. Keeping your arms straight, lift them a few inches off the floor. Contract your abs and lift your shoulders a few inches off the ground. Maintain this position and start pumping your hands up and down as you count to 100.
