Ban the Treadmill! The Role of Cardio Exercise in Losing Weight and Burning Fat

I'm a good person who cares about the details. So when I started working out at the gym, I saw some people grow while others didn't, and then realized that most people didn't do proper aerobic training.

I learned this lesson even though it was difficult. Shortly after learning how to build a program, I was hooked to the weight room, watching years of abandonment disappear as my hands, feet and abs tightened and my strength increased. My progress continued until I started training as an aerobics instructor, doing hours and hours a week as part of my training. I started to feel happy again after a few weeks, and I was not alone. Others in my class also gain weight.

You may wonder how it would have been if we had been told in the past that cardio is the key to losing fat. My answer to that is "no way!" - and for many of you this is great news, as there are very few of us who really enjoy running on the treadmill to & # 39; s destination anywhere & # 39; for hours at a time.

I've seen it many times. After registering at the gym, most people do is jump on the treadmill, pump up to 4.5 - 5.5 km / h, and walk for an hour while watching TV screens. After the initial improvements, a few months will go by with a noticeable change in their appearance. Has this ever happened to you?

Don't feel bad if you fall into this trap. We were taught in our initial training as a fitness professional that for cardio to be effective, we needed to work out 55-65% of our maximum heart rate for 45-60 minutes, ensuring that we stay in & # 39; 'Fat burning zone'. This is very tedious, which is why many customers must turn their attention to watching TV, reading books, or listening to their mp3 players. I think this is a waste of time, because I now understand that moving 'unknowingly' and lack of focus leads to decreased motivation and zero outcomes.

It looks at the problem from an emotional standpoint. The strict science behind solving 'myths' LIS cardio is a type of exercise that eliminates these stress hormones, decreases growth hormone, and causes obesity. The stress hormone I refer to here is 'cortisol'. - which is responsible for increasing fat in the stomach (belly fat) region, and growth hormone is responsible for building muscle and burning fat. By continuing to participate in LISS, you may lose some weight at first, but the end result will be flexible "skinny" with no tone and definition.

By now, you might be thinking, "Great, I don't need to do aerobics anymore" ... not so fast! Hearts are muscles, and if we don't use our muscles, they will break down. Improving your aerobic capacity is very important to your overall health ... it's the kind of aerobic exercise that will change from one point to another.

I would like to introduce you to High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT), the key to getting all the benefits of cardio in an exercise program that will break down fat, increase growth hormone and change the way you look at the moment. HIIT is the practice of 'interval' - Intensive training period followed by rest / recovery period. There are many ways to do HIIT, one simple example you can try today is to run (fast!) For one block and run for two blocks, repeating the cycle seven times in 15-20 minutes. Another way to do this is to tighten the intensity on the elliptical machine for one minute and then turn it on for two minutes, repeating the cycle 6-7 times.

For those who love to ride their motorcycles, the natural HIIT circuit will be an area with many hills and valleys. Those who like to swim can swim for a few rounds, run water for one minute, and then repeat this cycle within 15-20 minutes. There are so many possibilities, and when combined with the activities you love, you definitely get the results because this is the program you will definitely stick to.

HIIT has so many benefits ... the most important thing for me is the 'high' that I found when I finished my training because I am a believer in the belief that positive emotional states inside are the key to finding the good out. Other benefits include improved fat burning, reduced muscle loss, increased metabolic rate (RMR), increased oxygen consumption (VO2 max), improved insulin and improved sports performance (see references below).

Simply put, you have nothing to lose and everything to gain from stopping endless cardio sessions ... dragging your feet to the machine, watching endless timers, on-screen stupid TV shows, and everything else. time and energy wasted. I encourage you to review the references below and take a minute to reflect this knowledge.

Best of luck, and I hope you try HIIT's cardio session today ... you'll be glad you did!
