Foods to Eat When You Have Hemorrhoids

The main reason - maybe yang the main cause - hemorrhoids, is related to arrest when you launch a motion. Poor toilet technique - something that is rarely discussed - can cause this effect. It's more likely though that you have to strain because of constipation. Correcting constipation can have a good effect on your hemorrhoids. To do so, change your diet and consider the following:

1. Roughage. To correct constipation you need to increase the amount of fiber you eat. Fresh fruits and green vegetables are key here, as they are for a healthy diet. One word of caution though is to start adding this to your diet slowly. Failure to do so can cause gas and diarrhea and painful digestion. Personally I start every day with oily porridge which is very supportive and helps the function of the natural and healthy functioning of the digestive system. Cereal grains will have the same effect.

2. Fresh Fruit and Fruit Juice. As well as fresh fruits, fruit juices can also be a great addition to your diet and can improve digestion and give other beneficial effects. Some people say they find dark fruit juices made from cherries, blackberries and blueberries very good to help with their problems. Laboratory evidence presented just a few years ago shows that the flavonoids found in these berries (called anthocyanin and proanthocyadin) can reduce swelling and strengthen the pulmonary veins and thus seem to have real scientific basis.

3. Berry. Especially black-currant berries are good because of the amount of vitamin C they contain as well as other minerals that provide health. They also contain fatty acids called GLA. Although these are only in small quantities, they produce prostaglandins. Prostaglandins are involved in pain in the nervous system. They can only act to reduce the itchiness that can accompany even mild hemorrhoids. Eat berries directly (they are widely available today throughout the year) or drink fruit juices made from them. Consider other red and black berries including cranberries, blackberries and strawberries for this purpose.

4. Ginger, garlic, and onions. This can be beneficial as they break down fibrin. This usually helps to repair tissues that they can accumulate causing further inflammation in the affected area. Try to change the amount of your diet if you eat less (and decrease for a longer period if you are eating a high quantity).

5. Honey Leaf Vegetables. This should be part of almost every health diet and seems to be linked to a possible decline in cancer. They may specifically have a good effect on hemorrhoid hemorrhage such as peanut butter and hemp seeds.

Conclusions: Modify your diet by consuming fiber to reduce constipation and the stress they cause when you exercise. Eat a variety of other foods to reduce itching, swelling and inflammation. Always remember that your diet really makes a difference when treating hemorrhoids.
