Sweet Potato Diet Plan

If you are looking for a sweet potato diet plan, then let me keep you in secret. Did you know that Sweet Potatoes can help you lose weight, when used in conjunction with other foods? Unfortunately, sweet potatoes are only served on Thanksgiving, and if you want to gain weight, start eating every week.

Little known fact, that sweet potatoes can actually help you lose weight, and for some reason. I must admit, when I read this myself, I didn't think it could be true. There are a number of calories in this type of potato, but that is not important. If you think the calorie diet works, then you need to think again.

Eating these types of vegetables has been found to regulate your blood sugar levels, and to make your body more responsive to your body's natural insulin, this will help you lose weight. Sweet potatoes also contain large amounts of vitamins and minerals, and are known as super foods. Not only can they help lose weight, but they also help build muscle, help fight common colds and they also contain high levels of beta carotene, which has reduced the risk of certain cancers.

So how can a sweet potato diet plan help you lose weight? The main reason I find eating these vegetables is the feeling I get after eating this super food, and that's the feeling of being full, all day. I mentioned above about a non-functioning calorie diet, and that can happen to many people. If you find that your diet doesn't work for you, then it's probably time to try something new.

Here's what you can do, to get a sweet diet plan, to work for you.

First, forget everything you know about your diet, and open your mind to something new, exciting and different. Many people have different ways to cook these vegetables, but this is a recipe I love and still uses on a weekly basis.

This is a sweet potato recipe.

1. Peel potatoes, and cut into small tortoises or pieces. Just cook them like normal white potatoes. Boil them for 20 minutes, depending on their size, and simply test with a fork to see if they're good and soft. Take out excess water.

2. Once you've drained the water, melt some butter, right, butter to the pan just used to boil it. Many of you may be surprised that I added butter, as this should be a diet recipe.

3. Once the butter has melted, add the sweet potatoes to the pan. Using a potato masher, mash potatoes with butter. You can use butter stamps with this recipe. Add salt and pepper to taste, and a drop of honey as well, but be careful not to overly sweet.

Were you surprised by this recipe? I'm sure you don't think you'll find dietary recipes that include butter, and this is where you need to open your mind and look at different diets. Calculating calories and eating salads may work for a small majority of people, but a large number don't want to use a diet plan like this. This is just the beginning of a sweet potato diet plan, and using this combination with other recipes using these vegetables, can help to lose weight significantly.
