Feedings and Feelings

The greatest responsibility a parent can have is to care for a newborn; It's really special for a mom. Breastfeeding is something that only a mother can do and every breastfeeding mom will tell you that breastfeeding is more than just feeding your baby.

Parenting is about nurturing and protecting your children. You start nurturing and protecting your baby's moments after they are born as they attach to your breasts and start drinking your colostrum. When you nurse your child, you give it the best start in life. As you spend time breastfeeding your baby, you may feel a little anxious about whether or not he or she receives enough milk, or receives enough nutrients from your milk. Worrying about your child's diet is something you will never lose. Even if your kids eventually grow up and go home, you will worry about what they eat!

The physical benefits you give your child when you breastfeed are well known and documented. But what is not always discussed is the emotional feelings associated with breastfeeding. Watching their children grow and to know that they are the body responsible for their physical development produces a sense of pride and accomplishment for many women. Indeed, breastfeeding is a continuation of the physical nourishment you provide throughout your pregnancy.

Some mothers experience problems when they first try to breastfeed their baby. However, this is usually resolved when they master tightening of their baby. In fact, when they are breastfeeding, they are often surprised at how easy it is. Breastfeeding, especially at night, is less stressful than feeding a bottle. Breastfeeding can also be relaxing for both mother and child. Babies will usually sleep after breastfeeding, fullness and pregnancy, like many mothers do.

Breastfeeding is not just about food; it's about comfort, for mom and daughter. Raising your child for comfort can be a wonderful and peaceful time for both of you. There are no other activities that adults can do with children that are safe. Breastfeeding will fill you with many positive feelings, a long life towards the baby and your life in general. As you breastfeed, you and your child will look into each other's eyes and sometimes it will be as if you recognize the special bond and emotion that exists between the two of you.
