Clean Diet Practices

A clean diet focuses on the food you eat. You should also monitor your fluid intake. We must learn to make better choices in our diet that bring you the ability to maintain your new form after losing weight.

In picking food for this "diet", you need to go with people as close to natural as possible. Try whole grains, fresh vegetables, fresh fruits, lean meats, and dairy products.

Break down what you can eat:

1. Grains and Nuts: wheat, rice, barley, and dried beans. When you go buy bread and you see "whole wheat" which is not the same as "wheat". It must have 100% wheat or 100% wheat.

2. Fruit: The best kind is fresh fruit. You are not limited to a particular type or amount. The only thing to watch out for is not to eat canned fruit all the time. They need to be limited for a while. Fruits are a great thing to eat at night. Try eating grapes or apples instead of popcorn at home movie nights. Fruits are also good at reading. With simple changes you will see progress.

3. Vegetables: Enjoy unlimited raw, steamed, or roasted vegetables. Many vegetables contain carbohydrates but that's OK. You need to rearrange your eating habits to complete this. Try slicing sauces or heavy dips.

4. Lean Meats: Chicken, fish, and slices of beef. If you can buy this from a butcher then the quality is usually better and you know exactly what you are getting.

5. Fluid Intake: The best thing to drink in water. This includes flavored water. If you don't like plain water, there are now many products on the market that you can add to your calorie-free water. Dietary soda is good in its simplicity. Dietary soda contains sodium which can contribute to water retention.

When it comes to dried fruits, you need to eat them in moderation. They are very focused. The difference between fresh and dried fruits is loose, high water content, and dense fruit with little or no water.

Experiment with different recipes that include a mix of vegetables and cereals together, or a mix of lean meats with cereals, or lean meats with vegetables. If you think you need a little taste, use some olive oil or sesame oil. The possibilities are endless.

Don't make yourself feel like you're on a diet. Just learn to eat healthier and your body will be satisfied. If for some reason you have a bad day and don't eat well, that's OK! Starting the next day. Or if you overdo it during one meal you make adjustments to the next. Never skip meals.

There are no diet diets, diet pills, or fast fat loss recipes. Many weight loss claims are fraudulent. The only way to lose weight is to eat healthy and be active. With success comes great confidence, energy, health, and attitude!
