How to Lose Your Belly Fat and Double Chin by Eating Low GI Foods

I struggled for years to get rid of my fat stomach and double chin. This is my story ...

I lost a double chin and a big beer belly after a 6 year struggle. In the end the solution was easier than I expected. If only someone could tell me at first I could have a great 6 years and not waste so much money on the charm and enjoy the food I ate.

My fat belly makes an appearance at age 26. I look ridiculous with my big fat belly. Where did it come from? I ate a lot of Christmas rolls, or maybe they just turned 26. Whatever fat belly is here to stay. Losing weight is not something I did before but I believe the answer is simple - eat less food and exercise. I'm no expert but this simple formula seems to be the easiest way to lose weight. It's just necessary.

My fat stomach motivated me to stop eating and go to the gym. I hit the gym hard. I don't eat lunch to cut down on eating; I'm sure this will get rid of my beer belly in the punch. After a few months of trying my best at the gym and almost starving myself I had lost a lot of weight; 6kg - good work. But looking at my stomach doesn't look smaller; in fact it might be bigger. I've lost weight to every part of my body except my stomach.

Exercising too much and not eating enough caused my body to burn muscle to gain extra energy. What I do is not productive, I reduce my muscles and increase my fat storage. It's going to be harder than I thought.

Things are getting worse now at the age of 28 double chin. I'm still at a total loss on how I can still get my belly fat I've been working hard to get rid of. I lost weight for cardio - pushing myself faster on the bike and walking farther and farther on the treadmill. After just a few weeks of eating salads for lunch and hitting the treadmill every day I looked in the mirror and saw that I had burned almost every muscle I had. I'm back to the square.

The brochures came despite my mailboxes for local gyms being re-advertised by the body in a special but sensible diet. I've never heard of Educogym but the brochure looks interesting. My own weight loss experience made me angry and cynical. But since I was married, I was going to make the last attempt to get my body organized and I chose Educogym.

Gina at Educogym explained to me that we would practice every day for 12 days; only 20 minuets at a time but this will be high intensity. Gina then explained to me my new diet. Gina explained to me a chemical called insulin. Insulin regulates blood sugar in the body and affects how the body burns energy. If your insulin is low then your body will burn fat instead of muscle. To keep my insulin low I have to eliminate one specific thing from my diet - Sugar.

No sugar, and nothing made of flour. Herbs like bread and pasta will absorb itself into the blood and increase my insulin. Even natural sugars from fruit should be kept to a minimum. Fat on the other hand does not increase your insulin.

Sugar is in many of our daily foods; Only when you try to avoid it do you realize how often you eat it. To my surprise the milk was 40% sugar. Not eating white bread, or any bread for that matter. I need to train my body to burn fat and fat only. So from now on, I'm going to eat only protein and fat. Something inside me knew this would work.

Breakfast is bacon and eggs daily, no toast or anything else. No milk in my tea or coffee; but I can use the cream I find very good. Lunch is meat - beef, goat, or pork (no chicken), preferably meat with good fat content, and green vegetables. Dinner is the same. Adding some walnuts for extra fatty acids is beneficial.

After a few days my body was now in a state of 'ketosis'. That's all the energy my body uses to come from fat and not carbohydrates. Fat and protein diets have killed my hunger and prevented me from getting candy for chocolate and other morning snacks. I burn fat and only fat; if there is no fat in my stomach to burn then it must come from a big fat deposit - my fat belly.

I started to see the difference from day two. The flabs around my stomach are softer. The diet is a bit boring but difficult to bear; I really miss all the wonderful sugar hits of chocolate and other foods. On day 7, my wife looked at me as I recovered from the couch from my hard 20-minute workout and said, "Your double chin is gone!" On day 12 of my measurements I concluded that I had lost 3% of my body fat, my double chin had disappeared and my stomach was about half full.

The end result. After all these years, the dream came true. My stomach is still there but significantly reduced but there is some work still to be done but the trend has broken. I now know how to lose fat.
