Eating Raw - The Biggest Mistake People Make When Getting on a Raw Food Diet

I've been eating raw food / raw foods for almost 9 years now. I have to be honest with you, it has been great and at the same time a great challenge.

The challenge comes from HOW to make it work for me and my body. It turns out the raw food diet is NOT for everyone. It took me a while to learn this. Like most people, I identify BEING as "raw food".

And here is where I want to expose one of the biggest mistakes people make when it comes to eating a raw food.

Here it is: You become a 'Raw Food Food'. as opposed to just eating raw food.

Let me explain. The biggest crutch I've seen in the raw food community has nothing to do with food, and everything has to do with identity. This is true in many nutrition communities. People identify with their diet, and what happens is that their diet becomes a form of religion.

And of course, like any religion, if you question it, if you decide to try something different, you look as if you are guilty, as if what you did is wrong.

I know this from experience. If you are reading this article, I just want to show you this so you don't fall into this trap. Yes, this is a trap. It's the Ego trap you set for you. The Ego thrives on judgment. If you can eat what is best for you at any time, lose the label and identity that goes with your diet, you will experience more freedom and inner peace.

Again, the biggest mistake I've seen people make eating raw food has been identified with BEING "raw foodist". I don't want to blow your bubble here, but I can assure you ... this is NOT who you really are. You're far outside and before the label.

This is my call to you, to be free to be who you really are. Eat what's best for you right now. Step back from judging so much, and justify. And if you're criticized for this ... it means you're on the right track. :]
