Depression and Adrenal Exhaustion

Depression is not a new disease but much is still unknown about the exact diagnosis and treatment. Depression can be difficult to distinguish due to various symptoms. Adrenal fatigue, reactive hypoglycemia and chronic fatigue syndrome are all uncommon disorders that can lead to depression. Most people probably have never heard of this disorder. Many doctors do not understand their true relationship to depression.

The adrenal gland is located above your kidneys. The adrenal glands are responsible for secreting various hormones. Common hormones are epinephrine, testosterone and cortisol. When individuals are under extreme pressure, adrenal fatigue can occur.

Stress can be caused by financial problems or loss of a loved one. If the stress level remains high, the adrenal glands may begin to slow down production. If the gland slows down cortisol is produced. The main stress hormone in the body is called cortisol.

Decreased cortisol levels and the body's inability to compete with stress levels can cause adrenal fatigue. Some possible problems are extreme fatigue, low fatigue and stamina. Individuals also generally feel unable to cope with any stressful situations that may arise and are completely depressed. Some people also have problems with low blood pressure and digestion. These disorders can be reversed by adding healthy vitamins and supplements to your diet to improve your health. Your doctor may also recommend hormone supplements. Other useful tips include regular exercise, minimizing salt and caffeine stimulation and reducing stress levels.

Hypoglycemia is when your blood sugar drops too low. When your blood sugar repeatedly drops too low all the time especially after consuming these carbohydrates it is often referred to as reactive hypoglycemia. Excess insulin is produced and this production causes the sugar levels in the body to decline drastically. Some people experience symptoms such as fatigue, dizziness or light loss. In addition, they may also be very angry and have headaches, tremors and depression.

These disorders have several simple treatment options that you can try. Most doctors recommend that patients eat small snacks or snacks at least every 3 hours and exercise regularly. Low glycemic index foods and low sugar and carbohydrates in your daily diet. Expand our diet and provide healthy meat, poultry and fish. In some cases, our doctors may prescribe medications that help stabilize insulin levels.

In many cases, your doctor may not diagnose you with chronic fatigue syndrome. Chronic fatigue has many of the same symptoms as adrenal fatigue and reactive hypoglycemia. As the name implies, if you experience this problem, you may experience severe fatigue. Muscle pain and pain, headaches and unhealthy sleep are also common symptoms. Some people have problems with sweating and nausea.

Your doctor may try and treat you with depression but in some cases he may offer other options. Most patients are encouraged to exercise and establish a healthy sleep pattern. Special medicines can help with joint pain and headache. Every disorder can cause depression but many people can benefit more from lifestyle changes rather than depression medication. Common medications used to treat depression may not always help with this problem.
