3 Rules and 3 Lessons to Lose Weight Once and for All

There are many weight reduction choice there, considering it's a billion dollar industry! Diet trends are being created with new scientific research, documented before and after photos, handed down by generations, and promoted by well-known celebrities. We are willing to do anything to suit our favorite jeans, so we tend to listen to whatever is going on at the moment. Atkins, Du-ken, Cornish, Campbell studies, Palo, Vegan, Juice, Gluten free ... One swears by fat, the other by protein and the third has strong evidence that fats and too much protein are to blame ?! Just who should we trust and what will deliver results that will last a lifetime?

The secret is very simple, Pollen says: "Eat food. Most plants. Not too much." And that's it. Eat food! Do not eat anything that contains more than 4-5 ingredients. Don't eat anything your grandma wouldn't recognize as legit food.

Eat mostly plants. We tend to assess our daily protein needs and underestimate the amount of protein in the plant! Eat your beans, Quinta or beans and your digestive system will thank you!

Not too much. One of the dangers of healthy foods, especially those containing sugar, is that we can give them permission to eat too much because they are healthy. That's right - 200 calories coming from citrus is not the same as 200 calories coming from cakes, but ... they think!

Following these 3 rules, after losing hundreds and gaining pounds over the last ten years, my scale and I have finally lived in peace and harmony. After the dark ages of diet pills, shakes, compulsive exercises, fat burners, ephedra, protein bars and L-carnitine, here are 3 of the most important lessons I learned while maintaining a lean body:

1. Hunger is a common natural phenomenon. In fact, it is advisable from time to time. It's OK to feel hungry and you need to feel hungry over time. Welcome!

2. To live as a healthy, healthy and strong person is one decision you must make several times daily in a million different situations. Should I just sit in front of the TV because I'm tired or should I just take a 20 minute walk? Should I eat some bread or have a bowl of salad? Make the right decisions for yourself every day.

3. Make peace with your scale. It is what it is and that number does not define you as a person. Be brave, go ahead and carry on everyday. Find out where you are today and decide where you want to be tomorrow. Give it to her and don't stop tracking your progress. Remember, it's just a number!

And in the end ... the most important secret of all ... (drum rolls) Never give up! You won't get fat from one day of eating, it does. What you do the day after is what makes all the difference, so forgive yourself and try harder tomorrow!
