How to Cure a Bladder Infection - What to Do!

There are many ways to cure urinary tract infections. You can buy medicines over the counter, or your doctor may prescribe certain medications if the infection is severe. But there are also many natural remedies that you can try.

What is cystitis?

Cystitis is an infection in the urinary tract, and if it gets worse it can affect the bladder. Although it is more common in women, it can also affect men. The reason women are more vulnerable is because of their urethra - the tube from the bladder to the urine coming out of the body, much shorter than the male. Also, the anus is closer so there is a higher risk of contamination from it. It may also be infected from other parts of the body - such as the infected kidney.

Here are natural ways to cure urinary tract infections.

At the beginning of the infection, stop eating any solid foods. If the person has a temperature with the infection, leave them for only 3 days or soft coconut water. If there is no fever then drink raw vegetable juice, such as carrot, every 2 to 3 hours. Pain can be relieved by applying heat to the abdomen, either by hot baths or by removing a warm towel. After a few days of all fruit diets you can start introducing other foods, such as seeds, grains and vegetables. Avoid carbohydrates during this time, along with meat, fish and poultry.

If the problem is chronic then it should take longer to reduce the body, and then look at the long-term diet. Always make sure you take plenty of water at all times - aim for at least 8 glasses a day.

With a little effort and some lifestyle changes, even if it is a chronic problem, then you can learn how to treat urinary tract infections.
