Three Diet Solutions to Burn Fat

Obesity in America has reached epic proportions. One third of American adults are obese. This is a huge increase from just 13 percent in 1960. Today even 17 percent of American children are obese or overweight.

Obviously we know obesity is a problem. What we need to find is the solution. There are no quick fixes or magic cures; Burning fat requires commitment to a healthy lifestyle complete with nutritious food and exercise. However, there are a few things you can do to improve your metabolism and help burn fat. Here are three dietary solutions to help your body burn fat.

1.Drink green tea daily. Green tea contains chemicals that increase the level of norepinephrine in the brain. Increased levels of norepinephrine increase metabolism. Some studies show that drinking green tea daily can increase your metabolism by 4 percent, which can increase up to 60 calories per day. As a bonus, green tea also contains antioxidants that fight cancer.

2. Drink milk. Women especially burn more fat when they take three to four servings of dairy products a day. In fact, women who have dairy products burn 70 percent more fat than those who do not use enough dairy products. Calcium in dairy products increases your metabolism and helps your body burn fat faster. A good goal for calcium intake is 1200 mg per day. Low fat milk, yogurt, and cheese are great sources of calcium. Also, calcium is well absorbed by the body when paired with Vitamin D. Your body gets Vitamin D from exposure to sunlight, so drink milk and go outside for a jog!

3. Reduce pressure. Experiencing stress increases cortisol levels in your body, which improves your appetite and encourages your body to store fat, especially in the stomach. Find activities that relieve you and reduce your stress levels. Yoga is one of the great options. It allows you to relax, focus, and reduce stress, while burning fat at the same time. The prolonged effects of relaxation that come from practicing yoga will positively affect your metabolism. Tai chi is another very low, relaxing exercise habit.

In addition to completing this diet, try weight training. Muscles burn more calories than fat, increasing your muscle mass improves your metabolism. This means that the more muscles you have, the more calories you burn during your daily routine. Not only will you burn fat during weight training, you will also burn more fat when you are not working.

Interval training is also a great fat burner. Interval training is a method of adding a short burst of high intensity intensity to your regular exercise routine. For example, if you used to run on a treadmill at ten minutes, you could add 30 seconds of sprint every three or five minutes. Interval training has proven to burn more fat than exercising at a consistent rate.
