Spread your arms wide and hold near the tip and base of the broom. Stand with your feet wide open. Without turning or twisting, you want to slowly bend towards your right foot and then return to the center. Repeat this five times and then bend your left foot five times. You can repeat this several times during your training. If you do not get enough resistance from the broom alone, you can work up to this exercise. Start small (no more than 3 pounds in weight) and work your way up to a larger weight.
