Coffee: The Drinking Mother Energy Drink

Coffee habits are difficult to break down for many moms who are looking for the energy they need to start the day and take care of the day. Unfortunately this habit is an obstacle in the quest to lose fat and regain your body. The extra calories from sugar and fat quickly add up to every effort to lose fat. I spent many mornings and evenings at my favorite coffee shop, Starbucks.

If I knew what I know now, my ability to lose extra belly fat might not be so difficult.

Here are some surprising Calorie Facts about what your favorite energy drink can drink:

Dairy Queen Mocha MooLatte: 590 calories

Vanessa MooLatte French DQ: 570 cals

Dunkin 'Donuts Coffee Coolatta: 350 cals

Dunkin 'Donuts Caramel Swirl Latte: 230 cals

Dunkin 'Donuts Iced Mocha Swirl Latte: 240 cals

Starbucks Venti Vanilla Creme: 520 cals

Starbucks Caramel Frappuccino, 430 calories

Starbucks Venti Double Chocolate Frappuccino Chip: 750 cals

If you eat ingredients that are hard to resist on a daily basis, you may see figures above the scale of your bathroom creeping up. Hopefully, now that you know your nutrition information you may be thinking twice about your next coffee run. Now gourmet coffee every once in a while is fine. Life without this tasty treat can be boring and it's a proven fact that a shortage is not made for a long-term nutritional plan.

If you have to drink coffee daily, you can make healthier choices. Go for black or control the amount of sugar by requesting a sugar-free beverage, or add your own sugar or artificial sweeteners if you prefer. I enjoy my caffiene every morning, but I do so with a cup of freshly brewed green tea. I saved my trip to Starbucks for a "one-on-one" event when I took care of myself, usually accompanying a trip to the mall or the salon.
