Green Tea Weight-Loss - Using Green Tea Extract For Losing Weight

If you look at all the fat burning products on the market today, they will always contain green tea extract as the main ingredient. It is widely accepted as a weight loss aid and has become very popular.

So what is green tea extract?

Antioxidant polyphenol catechin, in particular catechin EGCG, is extracted from tea leaves into a concentrated form for use in pills, tablets or liquids. There are 4 types of catechins in tea, but EGCG has the strongest effect on health and weight loss. 3 other types of catechins, EGCs, ECGs and ECs, are still great antioxidants in their own right. The good news is that you'll find them all in green tea extract.

How much do you need to take per day to lose weight?

A study conducted in China found that the catechin dose of EGCG of about 600 - 900mg had the most potent effects on weight loss, body composition and reduction of abdominal fat. Look for products that have at least 90% polyphenol content and at least 45% EGCG.

Why take green tea extract instead of tea?

The amount of catechin in a cup of green tea is about 100mg. This amount can vary for a variety of reasons, such as the time taken, the temperature of the water and the variation of the tea crop area. Basically, you should drink 6 to 9 cups a day to achieve maximum weight loss benefits. The recommended intake is 600 to 900mg of catechin EGCG daily. That's a lot of tea! So taking supplements is easier!

If you really enjoy drinking tea, you can also combine it with green tea extract to get the desired dose.
