Cottage Cheese Diets - Why the 3 Day Cottage Cheese Grapefruit Diet Could Be the Answer You Need

If you only want to lose weight for special occasions and don't care about long term weight loss, a 3-day cottage cheese grape diet may be for you. That said, if you have a long-term weight loss goal, you may want to avoid it.

The great thing about this diet is that you can lose up to 10 pounds in 72 hours. The bad news is that you will almost certainly gain all the weight once you go on a diet. It is also unhealthy for this diet for the long term because you will be malnourished, tired and prone to illness because your immune system will be compromised.

But, there's nothing wrong with trying for the short term. If you want to go to a high school reunion or look great for a friend's wedding, it can work well for you. Just be careful with it.

The 3-day cottage cheese cottage diet helps you shed excess weight, reduce bloating and burn some fat through reduced calorie intake. It is a much lower calorie that will cause you to lose weight when it's done, as your body's natural reaction is to accumulate fat when you start eating more regularly.

An important note here: You should avoid this diet if you are on any type of antidepressant or anti-anxiety medication. Both types of drugs can have negative and harmful interactions with grapefruit.

The key is to follow a proper diet. Any replacement will mean all your efforts have been wasted!

Day 1:

Breakfast: One cup of coffee or black tea, and one slice of toast; eat half of grapefruit or drink a glass of grapefruit juice.

Lunch: Eat a full plate of cottage cheese, one slice of toast and coffee or black tea.

Dinner: Eat three ounces of lean meat, one cup of carrot, one cup of ice or frozen yogurt, one apple and one cup of black coffee or tea.

Day 2:

Breakfast: One cup of coffee or black tea, and one slice of toast; eat half of grapefruit or drink a glass of grapefruit juice.

Lunch: A full plate of cottage cheese, five crackers of salt and one cup of coffee or black tea.

Dinner: Two hot dogs, half a cup of carrot, one cup of broccoli, one banana and a cup of black coffee or tea.

Day 3:

Breakfast: Black coffee or tea, five crackers of salt, one ounce of cheddar cheese and one apple.

Lunch: One boiled egg, one toast and a cup of black coffee or tea.

Dinner: One serving of cottage cheese, one cup of carrot, one cup of watermelon, half a cup of ice cream or frozen yogurt and a cup of coffee or black tea.

So, there is. Hot dogs, salt crackers and all. But before you start the 3-day cheese and grapefruit cuisine, ask yourself: Is it really worth the few pounds of water you might lose in exchange for feeling hungry, tired and miserable?
