What Time Do You Eat on the Medifast Diet? I'll Tell You

I received many questions about the details of the Medifast diet. The other day, someone wrote to me and asked, in part. "How many times do you eat at Medifast? I have a busy schedule and I look forward to eating six meals a day. I try to get a clear picture of my schedule and my life.

In return, I'm telling you that Medifast can really be tweaked into a simple diet. Most of the work is done for you and there is little relaxation in the time and how you eat your food. I'll explain this further in the following article.

Guide Your Medifast Food. What's the Best? The company shows that it is optimal to eat every 2 to 3 hours. It helps your metabolism and helps your body get into a metabolic state called ketosis that helps you lose weight quickly. Since many foods are available, the choice of snack type, this really does not have to be all that difficult. Here's an example of how I completed this.

I don't like to eat when I get up, but I do enjoy coffee. So I took 1/2 part cifuccino medifast and one half portion of Medifast / cocoa hot chocolate. It gives me a good taste of mocha ingredients, wakes me up, and counts one of my dishes. (One down and five to go.) This usually happens around 6am.

I have some time before I need to go to work, so I usually prepare eggs or oatmeal food. If it's a weekend and I want to take a little extra attention, I would add some vegetables or fat-free cheese to the eggs, but I don't have this luxury on most weekdays, where I only do a minimum around 8am.

By the time I got to the mid-morning snack (around 10am) I was working, so I kept it simple and easy. Usually I will have one Medifast bar now. This works well because all I have to do is rip the band off the bar and eat it. It really doesn't interfere with what I do at work so it's not a big deal.

I usually have lunch at 12:30. I usually eat chilli or one of the soups. Again, this is only a gathering because food is supplied. I usually have an afternoon snack at 3pm because this is when I tend to be hungry in the evening. If I'm not busy at work, I'll try to have one of 55 shakes. I have the luxury of having a grinder at work, but if I don't, I'll just have one ready for a shake that you don't need to mix. And, if I don't feel like shaking, I will sometimes have chips instead. At this point, I have four of my six dishes.

The Lean And Green Meal. When Do You Have It ?: Now, there are six foods that you will eat, one meal bigger than the other and one of them you need to make. These are called "lean and green foods" and are important because you add fresh food and you learn how to plan, prepare, and eat healthy foods because you don't want to just pack packed foods all the time.

There are many variations when people eat lean and green foods. I find that most, including myself, eat dinner. This just makes life easier because you usually have to cook for your family. However, I know some people who eat it in the morning (when they have more time and wake up) or who eat it around 3pm when they are most hungry. There is no right or wrong answer here. You can do anything for you.

It just left my night snack. Sometimes I would have a chip or if I didn't feel too lazy, I would cause a shake. Occasionally, especially in the summer, I would take fruit drinks on shaved ice (like snow) or eat frozen shakes (such as cold ones).

Combining Medifast Foods: I know that some people really don't want to be bothered to eat regularly so they would eat twice for breakfast, two for lunch and add two with lean and green food or jump on leaps and greens together. I don't recommend skipping fresh meals because I truly believe you need fresh food, but I recognize people who have done well by incorporating food. Technically, this should slow down or prevent ketosis but is not always apparent.

Of course, the best case scenario is to follow directions and to eat food. It really isn't that hard when you get into the routine, especially since most of the food is supplied.
