Weight Loss and Diet Using Hypnosis

A few years ago, a somewhat overweight woman came to me after I finished a hypnosis demonstration. With folded arms, he said to me, "I want you to hypnotize me to lose weight but I don't want to change the way I eat and I don't want to exercise." I told her, "Lady, I can hypnotize you to think you're thin, but the only way to lose weight is through better diet and exercise."

I have been practicing hypnotherapy for over 15 years and have attended several hypnosis schools. Although I learned from every school and from countless lectures and therapy sessions, I can tell you that in general, therapists practicing hypnosis will usually use certain hypnosis methods that they are comfortable with and reject others either because they are unaware of other methods. or they're not teach 'em. that one method is best. In fact, there are many ways to hypnosis for successful weight loss and it is best for a hypnotist or hypnotherapist to use a method that corresponds to the subject being hypnotized.

I can tell you from experience that one session is almost never enough if the goal is to lose weight permanently. On the contrary, it doesn't usually take three sessions. Why not just one? Why would three be enough? To answer this question, you need to understand two types of hypnotherapy: Direct Suggestions and Reasons to Reasons.

With direct suggestions (used by the majority of people who use hypnosis in their practice), the subject is hypnotized and advised to indulge in healthy eating, eating the right amount, eating unhealthy, exercising regularly, and more. In the short run, this can be very effective. But often this proposal works. One session is not enough. With the resulting regression, the subject is hypnotized to the point where the subconscious can reveal the real problem that causes one to eat too much. A trained hypnotherapist can help the subject come up with the term (s) and ... permanent weight loss can be the result. A combination of direct backups and regressions that enable you to achieve consistent results in at least three sessions!

In addition, most hypnotherapists are trained in the process of finding someone who is hypnotized (it calls for progressive relaxation and unfortunately it is still the dominant method taught). There are better and more effective methods for induction (get hypnotized) that can be done in minutes (and sometimes seconds)!

But the most important thing is this. If one chooses hypnosis or high-quality hypnotherapy, it is impossible (and possible) for someone to lose weight without feeling prohibited. They can lead a healthy new life, exercise regularly and enjoy new lifestyles on their journey to achieving and maintaining great health!
