Why Diets Are a Waste of Time

Diet will only make you fatter. Diet is nothing more than a temporary solution with many lasting, negative side effects. Here are 10 main reasons why you should not "go" on a diet.

Diet does not work. The diet has a 99% Failure Rate. Have you noticed the pattern? Lose weight quickly recover? Over time, studies show that if you diet you are more likely to lose weight than those who eat normally and make small changes gradually to their lifestyle. No, Law of Averages does not apply to this wrong system.

Diet can be dangerous. Once you limit the amount or type of food you eat, you put your health and life at risk. Diet is associated with injuries and sudden death due to electrolyte imbalance, malnutrition, and cardiac arrhythmias. Bicycle weight, or yo-yo-ing weight, is associated with higher mortality - especially if some types of pills are used. You don't have to put weight on your health.

Dieting destroys your metabolism. Diet will cause you to lose weight quickly and easily. Of course, you may lose weight quickly because you are not eating enough. In the early stages, the first seven to nine pounds are lost in water, presenting a real danger of dehydration and mineral deficiency. It's even scarier to lose lean muscle because of inadequate nutrients and calories. If you lose more than 3-4 pounds a week, you are sure this is what happens - very little fat is lost.

Dieting is exhausting. Diets are only reduced in calories by Fads disguised by clever gimmicks. "Lose weight while you sleep" "Eat whatever you want and still lose weight" Not eating enough or cutting a certain group of foods means your body may not have the energy it needs, or may be lacking in certain nutrients. You will feel tired, light headed and experience some unpleasant mood changes.

Dieting is annoying. Dieting negatively affects your eating habits. Diet can lead to fasting, overweight and obesity. When you diet, it is common to overdo your internal signals that tell you to eat. You eventually try to use the energy you want or suppress the hunger signal and may go as far as suppressing appetite. This causes you to never know when you are really hungry or wearing .... when you are full.

Diet can cause eating disorders. Experts say that high rates of eating disorders in the U.S. partly caused by diabetics, losing weight, re-elevating, and becoming chronically obese.

Diet causes food obsession. If you spend a lot of time and energy surpassing certain foods or types of foods, you will spend more time thinking about food and trying to control your weight with what you choose to eat or not eat. How long do you want to live like this?

Dieting reduces women. There is too much attention focused on our appearance and arbitrary numbers on the scale. In the midst of this focus - we finally avoid the things that are most important to us - our dreams and aspirations. Worse, it destroys our confidence and self-respect.
