Hyaluronic Acid For Osteoarthritis

Hyaluronic acid (HA) has been widely used in skin and anti-aging treatments, and can be used to treat osteoarthritis. Recent studies show that 80% of patients with osteoarthritis experience relief when given HA treatment, and although some patients do not have the same response, success rates are more than sufficient to make HA a new arthritis treatment drug.

Osteoarthritis is actually caused by deterioration of the synovial fluid of the arthritis joint. They break down into smaller units and thus reduce the effectiveness of shock absorption and their own absorption properties. HA is injected into these joints to recover and replace the weak synovial fluid. In most cases, after a while, the patient is relieved. There are also HA tablets available for patients who choose oral administration, but experts still find that the injection is more effective and effective in providing faster relief. HA treatment is not immediate. You will usually have four or five injections before you experience any relief.

HA has been approved by the FDA as a safe treatment for osteoarthritis. It cannot be purchased at the counter and you cannot administer it yourself. Consult your doctor before deciding whether HA treatment is for you. Some patients experience pain after HA injection, and may need to reduce their activity for some time. HA treatment does not promise 100% pain relief, and maintaining a good diet and exercise is recommended in addition to treatment.

In addition to being an effective treatment for osteoarthritis, other benefits of hyaluronic acid include: improved movement, softer skin, faster wound healing, fibromyalgia relief, retinal lubrication, clearer vision and dry skin release.
