More Men Banish Their Man Boobs, MOOBS

Men often talk about their love for women's breasts, but it seems that most men aren't very interested in themselves. In fact, according to figures released by the Association of British Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS), more men than ever before have resorted to cosmetic surgery in an attempt to remove their male breasts, also known as & # 39; moobs & # 39 ;.

Moobs are caused by a condition called gynaecomastia, which develops for several reasons. Nigel Mercer, president of BAAPS and consultant plastic surgeon, explained: "We've seen more men with gynaecomastia in recent years. There are a number of reasons for growing male breasts, including obesity, increased drinking and potential, more female hormones in the environment. "Indeed, 'gender pollution' is often referred to as a result of this condition, caused by too many female hormones working in the water system mainly due to contraceptive pills.

Fungus can be depressing and difficult to change through diet and exercise, so male breast reduction surgery is often the only solution. Celebrities include Simon Cowell, Jack Nicholson and Michael Douglas, and they often make fun of the newspaper when they are unlucky enough to be photographed without talking about the holidays.

BAAPS statistics show a 27 percent increase in the number of men undergoing breast surgery last year, along with an overall increase in men's plastic surgery by 18 percent. The reason for this increase is due to the general acceptance of cosmetic surgery, making the procedure less taboo. Dalia Nield, a plastic surgeon with the London Clinic, said: "In the past men may have endured having a strange body, or developing breasts. Now that men know there is a solution, they consider surgery as a way to give them a better quality of life."
