I am sure you have heard those words, you are what you eat, although many still do not realize that what they eat can actually affect their skin and various aspects of their lives.

Our skin has gotten worse over the last few decades. In the past, people cooked more and made more food from scratch, while today's rules make it easier for most people. This often means that the food is prepared quickly and easily mixed with additives and does not contain any nutritional content in it. While it may seem easier and better to just cook ready-to-eat food in the microwave, many people are unaware of what they are doing for their health, and even when they do, they are less concerned.

Our tongue has many problems because we do not have the right nutrients. The more snacks we eat that are mixed with additives and fake flavors, the more our tongue becomes. You can tell if your taste buds are dead because your tongue will have a slightly gray appearance. So what about the snacks on our skin outside?

Poor diet can leave skin looking dull and malnourished. Many people follow a low-carb diet that can rob rich people to produce anti-oxidants. Antioxidants help fight the free radicals that cause premature aging. Also, if you do not drink enough water, your body may become dry and therefore the skin may experience conditions such as Eczema or Psoriasis. So what do you need to do to keep your skin healthy?

How to Eat a Healthy Skin Diet

It is not too difficult to maintain a healthy diet for your skin. With a few tips, you can easily keep your skin looking younger and healthier for longer. Some helpful things include:

Eat lots of fatty acids

Fatty acids are very good for the skin and can be found in oily fish as well as hemp oil. Salmon and tuna are very good and to include hemp oil in your diet, you should try adding two tablespoons of daily food to potato-like foods.

Get The Right Vitamin To The Body

Vitamin E is very helpful in keeping your skin looking good. Peanuts like Almonds and Hazelnuts are great for keeping your skin healthy as they are rich in vitamin E. Grains and soy-based products are also good foods to eat.

Vitamin A is also good for skin and foods like sweet potatoes, spinach and carrots all rich in beta carotene, which is the most easily assimilated source of Vitamin A. Beta carotene helps fight the free radicals that cause aging.

Drink a lot of water!

Water almost cures a miracle for the skin. It really helps to cleanse the skin and remove any toxins in the body. It is recommended that you drink about 8 glasses of water daily, though it all depends on how active you are. If you are active enough, you may need more than 8 glasses a day to keep your skin hydrated properly.

However, if you do nothing during the day, you may not need to drink as usual. The general rule is to look at the color of your urine when you go to the toilet. If it's a lighter color than champagne, you get enough fluid in it, otherwise you need to drink more water!

An overall healthy diet is important if you want healthy skin. Obviously you need to exercise, and get plenty of sleep, but by eating a healthy diet you contribute to healthy, radiant skin!
