What's The Scoop on NICE Cream? A Better-For-You Dessert

Have you heard of "nICE Cream"?

(Also known as "banana ice cream") It's a fun banana-based dessert that's becoming more popular ... but why? Basically, all you have to do is learn about it, to see how it can feel. It's versatile, versatile in chocolate, fruit and nuts (or any combination thereof). It's dairy free, low in sugar, better for you than regular ice cream AND easy to make, so no wonder people everywhere try it. It's called "nICE", because it is more environmentally friendly than milk, and does not interfere with animals in the making.

So what exactly is nICE Cream?

The basics are frozen bananas, a little milk-free liquid, some sort of additive and strong blender or maybe a food processor. When added to the right part, the ingredients form a cream-colored dessert. It may sound obvious, boring or too easy here, but that doesn't go into any fun ways to & # 39; add & # 39; to him. (Keep reading, and the real fun will start soon!)

Why isn't this just 'some smoothie', why would this work in MY blender?

This is all thanks to a special type of fiber: soluble fiber. Did you know that bananas are about 86% water? It's incredibly tall ... so why aren't they wet or wet like watermelons? The answer is still soluble. The special fibers in these bananas prevent them from freezing solid, hard as popsicles. When you include frozen bananas, there is always an element of cream. Ice cream is a similar type, but instead of soluble fiber, it uses fat that never freezes strong enough for its texture. Low volume of liquid keeps it from becoming a smoothie.

Why can't I find this item in the store if it's so good?

If cream is so easy, and much better for you than ice cream, then isn't it already on the grocery store shelf? You think so, but there is one problem that stops the company with it: It is a great blend of pre-serving cream that makes the texture all the people want. If you pre-mix and then freeze again, it will be super solid and will not be cooked. It takes annoying liquid time so no one wants to wait ... because ordinary ice cream doesn't have it. Because no one has the patience, no company will put a good cream on it. Like sorbet, cream works well when mixed with fresh. Basically you have to make it yourself if you want it. Luckily, it only takes a few minutes to mix, so it can be ready when you want a dessert.

Why is Nice-Cream better than Ice Cream?

Lactose intolerant?

No problem. You get the texture of ice cream but no milk at all.

It's FREE of fat

Fat-free or low-fat ice cream can be funny. Because it is based on non-dairy bananas, it is naturally fat free. There is nothing to reduce or extract. Of course, you can bring healthy fats with peanut butter if you wish.

It does not require additional sweetener

The fruits are pretty sweet, and the bananas are no exception. They have a great mix of sweet and fiber. When you add other fruits like blueberries, raspberries or strawberries, they are also sweet. Good cream does not need High Fructose Corn Syrup or added sugar to taste. Plus ... if you want to be sweeter, you're responsible: you can add stevia, or raw local honey (allergy fighter!).

Make real fruit fun again

Forget the little ones whose colors and flavors are mixed with the usual ice cream to aid shelf life. When you make a good cream, the true colors & flavors of the fruit are always at your fingertips. Strawberry banana swirl? I will. Fresh kiwi & coconut chopped to treat the tropics? Of course! Raspberry and chocolate for a nice afternoon spoon? Whenever you want. A house made in minutes means no worries about shelf life. Frozen fruits mean you can have the flavor you want at any time of the year. (Fruit freezes from cooking it helps maintain nutrients too)

You control the almost endless feeling

In the mood for something exotic that you can't find on a retail shelf? Nice-cream gets you covered. You can make a mango with fresh lime juice, peanut butter ... or almond butter with a slice of original peanut mixed in. Blueberry bananas may be hard to find ... but when does retail provide you with strawberry-blueberry-bananas? (This is a great combination) Bananas have a light flavor that is easily covered by other stronger flavors. You choose whether to highlight it, or push it into the background for variety.

Getting Started: Basic Recipes

This will make some of the most basic portions of chocolate cream. It lets you see how easy it is, and then you can develop your own recipe, or browse the internet for more.

2 frozen bananas (peel them raw, wrap them in plastic wrap, then freeze for easy use)

2 tbsp almond / rice / butter / banana or milk without choice

1 tbsp almond butter (no sugar)

1 teaspoon chia seeds

1 tsp cocoa powder without sugar

When you want to eat a good cream, just enter the entire list above to make it & you're ready to serve. You need a strong grinder or food processor as it is a "dry" recipe. Mix several times / pulse repeatedly to get the right consistency. Don't follow the temptation to add extra liquid, or it will become a smoothie. (not terrible, but not what you are after)

Don't stop here though!

Basic chocolates are just the beginning, continue exploring the possibilities with other fruits, or skip the chocolates and use frozen blueberries. Put PB instead of AB, and sprinkle some mini-list chips straight away and ... and so on. Most people do not get enough fiber in their diet every day, thanks to processed foods. And, no one really thinks of dessert as 'fiber rich foods'. ... but this can change it. Whole fruits (not juices), bananas and chia seeds all in good cream add a healthy dose of fiber. Fiber not only makes you feel fuller, it can help the body slow down the conversion of carbohydrates into sugars, beneficial bacteria, help the intestines move food more efficiently, and use more bile acids that can lower cholesterol. And that's not all! Fiber, while something indigestible, can really help with so many areas of your health. So what's better than a secret-focused dessert that is fiber? Don't wait, get some bananas in your fridge right now to enjoy some great cream later.
