Important Health Update

Staying healthy does NOT start when you are sick, when you refill your prescription, when you are scheduled for surgery or when your doctor says you have six months to live. Your health is an important and wise long-term investment to have the resources to stay educated and healthy.

Although I don't know you personally, I do care for your health and well-being. Why not? Because I know there are answers and a lot of resources that can be wasted. I have been in the alternative therapy industry for over 15 years and work with hundreds of experienced health practitioners. I have spoken with people who have overcome the challenges of light health to life-threatening health challenges. Unfortunately, most people turn to alternative therapy, or complementary medicine, after everything else fails.

I am not a medical doctor, but I provide resources for visitors to my health site to find answers to many health questions. Occasionally I get an email and I'm just wondering how to respond because the answer is very clear. For example, a woman asked about fluid supplements and how soon she would feel better. She explained that she was diabetic and that she smoked four packs of cigarettes a day, drank some beer and ate half a pound of bacon.

The best advice is moderation. To say that there is a healthy "one" path would be a lie. I tell my clients to be "aware of the body" and to hear what is needed (or when it hurts). Most people have one or more of the following body complaints, but ignore the symptoms. Months or years later, people go to their doctor for pain pills or other treatments for the symptoms - I will repeat the GREAT LOSS. To get results, you must treat the cause, not the symptoms. The most common body complaints are lower back pain, knee or hip problems, headache, pressure and pain in the jaw, arm or leg pain, and the list goes on.

If you have any of these symptoms, I recommend that you log on to the Internet and find a qualified health practitioner. Read articles, get an education, ask questions and try acupuncturists, massage therapists, chiropractors, Reiki masters, medical intuitions, and more.

While prescriptions can be purposeful in the short term, long-term use can pose other health challenges. It is important to know about small health problems as well as major health challenges. Some body aches, or symptoms, may seem mild but usually because you have tolerated or ignored it all along. Body aches can adjust and be a health challenge such as arthritis. Your body is very smart in adjusting and balancing itself. When your body (or muscle) tenses, it then fights its own balance by tensing or relaxing other muscles. The farther your body can become unbalanced and twisted.

I would recommend working with a healthcare professional on a regular basis. Start with a few weekly sessions and progress to the monthly schedule. Several consecutive sessions will help speed up your recovery.

Working with different alternative therapists over time will help you become more educated and familiar with the many health benefits of complementary therapy. You will discover new ways to take care of old health challenges and you will make wise investments in your long term health.
