Yorkie Terrier Colitis and Irritable Bowel Syndrome

Does your dog have bowel problems?

Intestinal problems can appear like a lot of gas, diarrhea and possibly blood flow. This can also be found under the heading of digestive problems. The saying that "Life and Death" begins in the colon. That applies not only to humans, but to dogs as well.

Many dogs lead a very uncomfortable life every day with this indigestion. They have cramps, pain and are unable to digest their food completely. Occasionally, it passes them after they eat.

I have a lot of experience in this area, as I have a Yorkie who has had this problem for almost 14 years. The veterinarian has never suggested anything.

When he gets a bad diarrhea, I'll give him a small dose of kaopectate from the syringe. He always has loose stools, never cures, but sometimes passes through slime-like material, it glides on like jelly. I always feared that he would die when he was a puppy. I will hear this gurgling sound coming from his bowel area. When they start, he won't eat anything until it passes. Sometimes he'll throw up a lot.

I came home one day from grocery shopping and he bleed all over the house. There was so much blood that I was surprised that he was alive. She was fine when I left her to go grocery shopping. It came all of a sudden. We rushed to the vet after 6pm. He was nothing but helpful. She gave him a few shots and said to see my regular doctor the next day. He was charged $ 80.00.

Her diet is always so good, when I cook at home for all my dogs. Occasionally, a diet can cause diarrhea and other problems.

Is your dog experiencing any of the symptoms I mentioned?

Some vets prescribe drugs that don't work, so it's always up to you to try to learn as much as you can about your dog's condition. No one knows your dog like you do.

At the time, I didn't know what was wrong. Since then I realized that I can help her with her bowel problems, rather than using Kaopectate. In this way, Kaopectate is a natural and safe product for your dog. It definitely stops diarrhea. My Yorkie never liked it, but she took it without spitting it out. It's a great drug product to put in your medicine chest, because you never know when you might need it yourself.

Many pet parents are worried about this every day and going to a veterinarian does not always help. There are many breeds of dogs, not just Yorkies, who have bowel problems. Big or small, they can all be affected.

Dogs can't tell you when they have stomach aches. They just look like the best, but if you know what to look for and how to help your dog, both will be happier. I wish I had found out about a product that could help my Yorkie.

Currently, all my dogs are healthy and I'm happy to say that none of them have bowel problems.

And I'm in more detail today, so I know what to look for.

Knowledge is power.
