You may be reading this because you are just sick and tired of all the weightlifting teachers pulling you in all directions, bombarding you with a fad diet plan and a comprehensive exercise system.

Maybe you feel like you've tried everything and nothing seems to work in the long run. I mean, anyone can lose a few pounds or even a few pounds, but sooner or later you have to quit your diet and that's all wrong.

You see, my approach was one that completely changed my life. From being overweight to having health problems, to being fit and fit with lots of energy, I didn't have to try that hard.

Enough is enough!

I think there are times in everyone's life when they look in the mirror and say "enough is enough"! Well, my time came about three years ago when tragedy turned my life down. An old friend of mine passed away from a brain aneurysm. I was consumed with sadness and needed something to focus on.

So that day at work I said to a college student, "I can't run 10 miles" ...

As you can imagine, these words come from fat, depressed men who are hard to believe. In fact, my college stuff might laugh ...

That day I contacted a charity related to a brain injury and ran two miles (almost killed me). I know I can't achieve this without a little research, and soon I find that losing weight and being fit enough to eat the food I eat.

Anyway, short story short, A few months later, I ran 10 miles (as I should easily say) on my friend's birthday with all her family supporting me. It was one of those days in my life that I will never forget. We're raising nearly 1000 for charity.

Although I run three times a week, I believe my success is largely due to some simple dietary rules that I follow and also block. If you put into practice the simple principles, I'm sure you can lose the weight you want and make you live as I do.

Here are my five tips for fast and durable weight loss

1. Always be ready:

You will be surprised at how much junk food is an average household stock at a time. It is important that you do not have any temptation to slip, as the road ahead may be quite challenging.

Always available is no distraction, no temptation and plan each meal in advance. Sit down and write a shopping list with your thoughts, then go shopping and just get something on the list.

If mom is busy or working long hours it's easy to fall into the trap of snatching up fast food where it's easy. Getting a healthy launch to work or just in the fridge ready to grab is crucial. You can prepare it before nightfall.

2. Know the calories:

If you've ever been on a diet, you may be counting calories at a time. This is a great way to manage what you eat.

It's a good idea to know your body mass index (BMI), so you have a good starting point. On average, women need about 2000 calories a day and 2500 men. To lose weight, the general idea is to reduce your calorie intake by 500 per day.

Get to see nutrition information on food labels. Maybe write it down and create a list to attach to your fridge for reference.

3. Eat more, lose more:

This is so important! You should aim to eat five to six small meals a day. If you don't have the time then grab an apple or something.

Remember! Hunger is the enemy here. Do not let yourself be hungry as this can cause you to trouble the wagon and grab the sugar.

Also, skipping meals is definitely not a way to shed pounds. Stay focused on your next meal plan.

4. Easy food swap:

Choosing healthy foods is not what you think. It's all about changing some of your eating habits one step at a time. This alone can get you on track to gain weight.

Swap bread and bagels for the whole version. Not only are they healthier and lower in calories, but they last longer.

Try to eat lower calorie proteins like chicken and fish, and only cook with lean meat. By cutting fat from meat spices or removing chicken skin before cooking, it can dramatically reduce calories.

It's important to educate yourself about the levels of fat, sugar, salt and calories in what you eat. This will highlight your nutrition and help you identify what is preventing you from reaching your ideal weight.

5. Get more active:

Now that I realize the word Training for someone like me a few years ago, can be a bit uncomfortable and even scary. The idea of going to the gym or training class was the furthest thing from my mind, but there were other options ...

I would recommend it to anyone, no matter their weight or age. But I know walking is not for everyone so here are some ideas to help you become more active in your daily life. Remember, the more calories you burn, the more weight you lose.

If you are taking a bus to work, get off a bus stop or two early and work on something else. Also make a conscious effort to walk and take as many stairs as you can.

If possible, try to set one hour each day to work out for a workout DVD or some other form of exercise that suits you.

One of the first things that left me missing out on work was the fact that, after practice I felt above the world. This is to release endorphins in the brain when you exercise, which fills you with a sense of well-being.

So, if you really want to make a lasting change in your life, you must be disciplined and make these five tips a daily habit. And we all know how hard he is to kick ...
