Do Fat Burners and Weight Loss Pills Really Work?

As a personal trainer who provides fitness training, I know that my clients usually have questions (or 2, or 3 or more!) About losing fat. Here is one question that one of my clients recently asked. Variations of these questions are all over the internet and are often asked by many people for fitness goals including weight loss or fat loss.

"What fat burning pill or fat burning product should I take?"

In Singapore, where I live and in muscle and fitness magazines around the world, Scorch, Hot Rox, Hydroxycut, and many other thermogenic products, all have convincing "ads." To cut a long story short, the answer is yes they work.

BUT be careful ...

They only work in the short term, and there are side effects.

You need to ask yourself how fat burners work.

The system below is stimulated ...

1. Stimulation of the nervous system (caffeine and other stimulants)

2. Thyroid (metabolic) stimulation

Does it work short term ... yes. BUT it's no better than eating healthy food for 2 weeks.

Long term, just like anything else, it hurts your body and the control of these factors. So BADANnya.

Fat burners - if you're a fitness competitor / bodybuilder / go for a photo shoot, be sure to use it for 3-4 weeks then STOP. And do this only once or twice a year.

If you are someone else, eat natural foods like meat, vegetables, nuts and eggs as well as lots of fish oils and add some powerful nutrients like L-carnitine. Train hard and let the fat fall by itself.

Everyone can get great results without any fat burning pills. It may take some time.

You have to ask yourself, what do you want? Right fast? Or a healthy, slim life?

Be careful especially in online fitness forums ... the desire to lose fat NOW makes people lose their perspective.

All reasonable answers about the effects of fat burning are often ignored completely and people just keep talking about where to get the best stimulants and the best prices despite warnings and side effects.

There's a Chinese word. "You can take the horse to the water but you can't force him to drink". That's the case with almost every online fitness forum when it comes to the topics of fat burning pills and weight loss supplements.
