Can Acid Reflux Cause Weight Gain?

I would not say that acid reflux causes weight gain, but I would say that there are foods that most people eat every day for many years which cause both acid reflux and weight loss.

So, it may look like acid reflux causes weight gain, but in reality, eating the wrong foods and combination of foods can cause weight loss and acid reflux at the same time.

Just to give you a simple example of a diet that gives me acid reflux, and is known to cause weight gain will be white sugar, and white bread. There are many other foods but let me explain the two and how they both lead to acid reflux and weight gain.

White sugar makes your body too acidic. Your body will sometimes store excess acid in fat cells to protect your vital organs. This is one of the ways that you save fat.

Another way that you save fat is that it increases your insulin levels and you start to lose fat. Too much sugar is a factor in diabetes as well.

White flour also makes your insulin grow like white sugar, but white flour also clogs the filters in your gut that should absorb nutrients.

Too much bread and sugar are known to cause weight loss. This is quite acceptable to the general public.

Bread and cheese cause constipation. If you are constipated and you are consuming too much sugar, the extra calories will not be able to get out of your body due to the physically blocked exit.

Acid reflux usually injures me if I eat any type of starch. Herbs are bread, potatoes, rice, and so on ... Acid reflux is a sign that you are not digesting food properly.

If you take medicine to neutralize the acid, it will stop your food from digesting. Especially meat. If this meat is stuck in your body due to constipation, and it does not digest because the stomach acid has been neutralized by the medicine, then it begins to rot.

Therefore, you are full of damaged meat. This will affect the way your body smells outside and if you have a very bad gas, it means you are full of foul food inside your body.

You don't have to live like that.

If you eat meat you want to digest it completely in stomach acid. This is why I sometimes take vitamin C ascorbic acid when I eat meat.

So instead of acid reflux causes weight gain, it is the wrong diet habit that causes both unhealthy weight loss and acid reflux and heartburn. And in my experience, acid reflux and tons of gas go hand in hand.

In short, to get to my last point, a wrong diet causes a domino effect of many symptoms and health problems that can be avoided if corrected before something serious develops.

Acid and weight loss will be the least of your worries, as these are the warning signs of a more serious health condition that will continue to develop until you clear your digestive tract and normalize your body's pH.

Acid reflux does not cause weight gain. Just like excess gas, itching, headache, acne and acne, bad breath, bad body odor.
