Meet Fitness and Weight Loss Goals With a Vision Board

People all over the world are constantly striving to create goals to improve their health and fitness. One of the biggest goals or resolutions of the New Year you hear is for those who want to lose weight. While they may have the best of intentions, let's face it, many people end up giving up in a matter of weeks, or even days.

Maintaining a good level of fitness requires a complete lifestyle change. Suitability is a lifestyle. The only way you can achieve your fitness goals and lose weight is to continue making healthy choices for the rest of your life.

What is the Vision Board?

One way to get yourself motivated to achieve your fitness or weight goals is to create a vision board. The vision board is basically a collage of pictures, quotes and / or phrases related to your goal. The idea is to create a vision board and then place it where you will see it every day. A great place to hang them will be in your gym or bedroom.

Creating a Vision Board

Creating one is very easy and cheap. You may already have all the supplies you need around your home. You can make the board as fancy or as you like.

What you need:

  • Posters

  • Magazines (fitness, health, diet related)

  • Glue or tape

  • Other stickers and decorations

To get started, look through magazines - ideally related to health and / or fitness in one way or another - and cut out something that stands out to you or inspires you to work toward your goals. The pieces can be pictures of fitness models, inspirational messages or quotes, figures that represent the amount of weight you want to lose or a bikini photo. If one of your goals is to flatten your abs, cut out pictures of people with great abdominals, and more

Once you've cut out a few things, begin to arrange them on the poster board in the collar and then tape or glue them all down to keep them in place. When you're done, it's time to decorate - if you like - with stickers, jewelry or anything else you can think of.

After you finish your motivational collage, hang it on the wall or put it where you will always see it so you can be reminded of what you are doing and why.
