List Of Negative Calorie Foods

You will find a list of negative calorie foods below, but first, let's take a look at what this is. There is no such thing as negative calories - calories are a unit of heat and they cannot be negative. So when people talk about negative calorie foods, it just means that those foods are low in calories and need more energy to eat and digest than those that contain them.

For example, if you think of water as food, then cold water is definitely a negative calorie food. It contains no calories at all and the body needs to release energy to bring it to blood temperature. So every time we drink a glass of cold water, we burn some calories and lose some weight. But there is little food like this. Most of the foods on the list do not actually consume more calories than they add to, or if they do, they can be ignored ... until you remember that at the same time the body consumes energy just to survive and breathe. Celery, for example, does not provide us with enough calories to sustain both the energy needed to digest it, plus the energy we spend even when we do nothing. That's why people call it a negative calorie diet.

Negative calorie foods are the most attractive to anorexia. Negative calorie diets can, in turn, lead to long-term hunger and malnutrition. The calories burned are derived from muscle mass, and the result is fatigue and wasting.

A healthier way to use a negative calorie diet is as a form of fasting or detox. It's something you can do for one to three days after the Christmas season or another time when you are eating too much food. As long as you are healthy, it can be the best way to clean the system. However, it is still a good idea to take medical advice before trying this.

If you decide to use a negative calorie detox, keep the following things in mind:

1. It is not a good idea to eat many kinds of foods, especially fruits. Many foods contain substances that can be harmful if consumed in excess. For example, acids in grapefruit and pineapple can damage your stomach lining. Other foods cause excessive stress on the liver or may cause diarrhea. So try to use all the different foods in small quantities.

2. Don't eat all day. You're just going to get bloated and get sick. If you've only been doing this for a few days, you don't have to feel hungry. Plan four or five servings of salads daily, and let your digestion rest at another time.

3. You will feel more satisfied if you eat slowly and chew your food carefully. You'll also consume more calories that way. So if the food can be eaten raw, it will be more effective than cooking it. Foods like carrots and beets will also be more satisfying if you eat them.

4. Schedule time when you have no important commitments. Like fasting or any type of detox, you may experience uncomfortable symptoms including headaches, fatigue, depression and irritation. If this is bad, stop eating and see a doctor.

5. When you end the detox, plan your gradual return to normal eating.
