Does rice and sugar gain weight?

A reader asks that I eat rice and sweets full of sugar constantly and I have noticed my weight gain, and I would like to know if the nature of these substances increases weight?

This question is answered by Dr. Hani Kamal, consultant of obesity and nutrition, saying this belief is inaccurate, rice like any starchy substances and there is a correct way to eat it concentrated in the disposal of rice water after the first boil and then add new boiling water to get rid of most of the starchy substances of it and thus become rice a little Starch.

And crunch occurs as a result of weakness of abdominal muscles and lack of movement and sports, but for sugar, eating does not lead to fat, sweets are given 10% of the calories that a person eats, i.e. 90% of the calories taken by the person from other foods but it is always advised not to eat too much sweets.
